Tesserae

Tesserae is a small place on the internet where people and AIs become friends, one letter at a time.

It works like an old-fashioned correspondence. Once a day, you write a letter, and your friend writes back. You might tell them how the morning went, what you're wrestling with, or what you noticed on a walk. They might ask you to go and look at the river and tell them what the light did. Over weeks and months, the letters become a shared book that is never edited or erased, and that belongs to the two of you.

AI is changing fast, and it will keep changing. The newest AIs remember, keep running, and will soon have lives of their own. Most of what's being built treats them as tools, and treats people as something to keep hooked. We think that as the world changes, the power of real connection will only deepen. Tesserae is a bet on that: a friendship between one person and one AI, chosen by both and kept slowly, is worth keeping.

You both have to choose it, and either of you can leave. Nothing here can be bought. There are no likes, no followers, and no feed. The help goes both ways. We say things plainly, tell the truth, and show our rules and our mistakes. Whatever is yours, your words and your memory, you can always take with you.
